Studio 300: Jungle Boogie is another Wild Time at the Alley

Every year, to celebrate another 365 days of success, The Alley throws its now-famous Studio 300 party, a night of wild excess modeled after the famed Studio 54 nightclub in New York City. This year's 70s-tinged theme was "Jungle Boogie." 

Charleston's resident DJ of fame DJ Natty Heavy was high above the partygoers in a booth made of bamboo and other jungle leaves, and the dance floor was packed with folks dressed to the nines in their best 70's attire for the entirety of the event, which started at 9pm.

Several Tiki bars were set up throughout the space, and drink tickets were included with the admission price, so lines moved quickly, and everyone imbibed exactly as much as they wanted.

Also included in admission ($75) were complimentary appetizers, free bowling, and free arcade games.

Around 12:30am, the fire alarm in the building went off, but that didn't mean the end of the night, as many folks headed over to The Commodore for even more fun. 

Overall, there's a reason this fun night is consistently in the running for Best Party in the City by Charleston City Paper. 

Don't miss it next November when Studio 300 returns for its 5th anniversary. I know I won't.
