"There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them." - Sylvia Plath
Who knew? This is a really cool thing to find out about our beloved city! We are creating jobs and these jobs are making amazing bathtubs.... I am obsessed with plumbing (yes, I love toilets) and Victoria and Albert is a company that is making the glamorous bathtubs right here in North Charleston.
This design, called the Marlborough, is stunning with the dramatic curve of the tub and the pedestal base. My mother- in-law is doing this tub in the renovation of their farmhouse. It is a beautiful tub.
While the last tub was more transitional, or even traditional, this tub, the Barcelona, is much more modern. It has a lovely egg shape and has a spa sense about it. I like more contemporary plumbing fixtures so this tub also appeals to me.
Now this is my favorite tub in the world right now—and yes, this is the one going in my new bathroom! I am so excited about this tub. The Toulouse, as they call it, has such feminine lines but has a contemporary feel at the same time. It is so romantic but still feels modern and classic! Is that possible to create a design that encompasses so many design elements? Well Victoria and Albert has done it, and they are being made in Charleston.... too cool!
I would like to go see the the factory where they are made sometime. What a great field trip. Maybe we would get to see this little darling here, the Capri.......another stunning design.
Now they will do more traditional styles too... This Roxburg design is very sweet and could work in about every house in Charleston, South of Broad. It is a very pretty clawfoot tub.
They really do have a tub for everyone. After seeing this photo, I am reconsidering my tub selection—that looks pretty amazing!
