America’s most well-known collection of steakhouses will open their newest South Carolina restaurant with a distinct Lowcountry design. Ruth’s Chris Steak House’s fourth South Carolina location in Charleston, S.C., will work with a local team to extend the authentic Southern atmosphere from the Historic Charleston Market into the restaurant. The Charleston restaurant design team includes architects LS3P, interior designer Jenny Keenan and contractors Construction Professionals Inc.

"Ruth's Chris will fit nicely in the French Quarter Inn on Market Street. It only seems appropriate since Ruth's Chris was founded in America's French City, New Orleans" said David Burt, LS3P architect. He continued, "The restaurant is broken into four spaces: the bar, the main dining room, the large private dining room, and the small private dining room. This design will combine the sophisticated elegance found in traditional historic Charleston dining facilities with the wine displayed as an architectural feature in the main dining rooms."

The Charleston restaurant will offer familiar Ruth’s Chris menus with consistently superb quality of food and service, and will pay tribute to its Holy City home, becoming a staple of the community. Each Ruth’s Chris restaurant bears a distinctive design and atmosphere, and the Charleston steak outpost will be both upscale and lively, a spirited environment with a touch of Southern whimsy. Local designer Jenny Keenan explained that she will be utilizing many Charleston-made furnishings as part of the restaurant’s design foundation.

Grae Rambo, president of CPI, noted that “Construction Professionals Inc. is honored to be part of the local design and construction team for the new Ruth’s Chris Steak House adding that the location in the bustling Market area below the French Quarter Inn at 55 Market Street and adjacent to the new Spectator Hotel is ideal for visitors and locals alike.”
