Charleston BandSwap Concert

This Saturday, Charleston hosts its inaugural BandSwap at The Royal American.

What in the world is a BandSwap?

"The concept of BandSwap is fairly simple – take bands with an established local audience and partner them with artists from other cities with similar crowd numbers in their respective markets."

Makes sense. 

This project is part of a national movement to bring different music, that might only be known locally, to more venues, more ears, and more households. Cities across the country have partnered up to bring new artists to their local music enthusiasts.

This all-day festival, sponsored by Budweiser, will feature three stages and 20 acts, including the likes of Jordan Igoe, The Yawpers, and more. Be sure to mingle with creative industry professionals at the Networking Vendor Village and VIP Party and maybe take a gander at what's going on in the Healthcare Village.

And as if it were't already chock-full of locally-grown goodness, 100 percent of event proceeds go towards CHS Musicians Healthcare Initiative, a healthcare fund available to working musicians during times of financial crisis.
